At 23, Athena Costello is a vibrant dancer, singer, and actor with a profound passion for the performing arts. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Athena discovered her love for dance at the tender age of three at the Janice Breen Performance Studio. Her early years were marked by notable performances on television, including the ‘Carols in the Domain’ shows from 2008 to 2011 and the ‘Annie’ media launch in 2012.
ATHENA'S STORYA transformative visit to New York City at 16 ignited Athena's dream to make the city her future home. Captivated by its energy and artistic drive, she was determined to immerse herself in New York's cultural milieu. At 19, Athena made the bold move to New York to study at the prestigious Steps on Broadway Conservatory. This program profoundly expanded her understanding of the dance industry and significantly enriched her experience and education in dance.
During her time in New York, Athena has collaborated with esteemed dancers and choreographers, including Terk Lewis, Chloe Lafleur, Earl Mosley, Nicholas Palmquist, and Billy Griffin. Her journey has been marked by extraordinary opportunities, from filming concept videos to performing Terk Lewis's stunning choreography at the Bryant Park Picnic summer series in June 2023.
Athena's ultimate goal is to evoke emotion in her audience and to celebrate the beautiful art form of dance that she so dearly loves.
